Hey everyone! I had a busy busy day! Sorry I’m getting these things up so late. This review is really short because the book is really short and the illustrations simple.
Barrett, Jude. Animals should definitely not wear clothing. Illustrated by Ron Barrett. New York: Scholastic Inc., c1970.
This books goes through various different animals and why they should wear clothes. Some of the reasons are common sense, but some are really silly and could make an adult laugh about it. The font on this book is VERY large for students to read along. The illustrations are very simple and depict the animal the opposite page is talking about. The illustrator has a heavy hand for lines to give the illustrations shadowing and texture. Also, the usage of color is very limited. A lot of the pictures have a lot of black and white in them. This story is very cute and I think it would be adored by children.
